36 weeks and started cramping off and on

I know it's not labor or contraction but why do u cramp and is it true that at this point in your pregnancy bh and cramping can help u dialate?

  • the cramping probably is contractions, just different kind than you are use to. and yes they do help you dialate.

  • Sometimes braxton Hicks are called "Practice Contractions."

    They really are your body practicing and getting ready for your labor. If it becomes too painful, try laying down, and drinking some water - that usually helps.
