Taking our 2 year old to the beach for the first time...

Anything that I can't forget? Besides the obvious sunblock and umbrella?

  • If your kid isn't potty trained, bring extra diapers/little swimmers pants, they will need changed everytime you get out of the water. Sand toys are fun, like shovels and buckets.

  • Toys for the sand. A bucket, sifter, boat, those sorts of things. HAVE FUN!!!!! What beach are you going to?

  • when i took my 2 year old the water scared her so we played in the sand a lot. i would bring lots of sand toys. and hat that will cover ears.

  • Drinks - don't let that poor baby dehydrate! Bring double or triple what you think you'll need. Snacks. Towels.
