strep throat in pregnancy

did anyone have strep throat associated with fever during their pregnancies.i m worried about the effect. is it dangerous for the baby?im 32 weeks pregnant

  • It only becomes dangerous if it's not treated. Take your antibiotics and you should both be fine. Strep throat is usually caused by Strep A bacteria. During labor/delivery the problem for the baby is with Strep B bacteria. So, first, it's not the more dangerous (to the baby) strep and you are weeks away from delivery.
