When did your child start teething?

My 7 week old will be crying and when I put my finger in her mouth she starts biting down hard and stops crying and then other times I see her doing the same w her hand like chewing the side of it. I took her to the doctors and they said her gums didnt look inflamed or any thing but Im connvinced other wise cause why else would biting down on somthing sooth her? Has any one had a child teeth this early?

  • At 7 weeks old its still a comfort thing to suck or bite on things regardless, if she was teething her gums would be inflamed, if she takes a pacifier does that soothe her?.
My son started teething around 3 1/2 months old had his first tooth around 5 months.

  • Have you tried different types of pacifiers? We had a lot of different "types" of them and my son would only take a particular one. He got his first tooth at 5 months and my neice got her first tooth at 4 months. Depends on the baby either way. I would think 7 weeks is awefully early to be teething though!
