  • Oh my! I was expecting to see a metal slide...I didn't know plastic slides could get this hot. I hope she has a speedy recovery. I know to make sure to check the slides now.

  • Yikes, thank you for the warning. I knew they got hot, but not enough to do that to my child.

  • You know I do feel the equipment; but I have a worn adult hand that is used to hot water; cooking; cleaning; etc...I'm not as sensitive as my kids skin might be!

And even if I felt it might be hot; I would have never imagined 163 freaking degrees!

  • The outside slides arent the only thing you have to worry about! I took my girls to Pump it Up. It's a local place with those blowup slides and and bouncing things. They wore cotton shorts. When we got home they BOTH had big bubble blisters from the "rug burn" of the slides!! I havent brought them back!!

  • We were just at the park sliding today! Oh my! Poor little girl! I usually go close to when the sun is going down so it's cooler, but still that's way hot!

  • I ALWAYS check the slides to see if they are hot as I check the ground before I allow my 4 y/o to walk outside barefooted. That is just common sense. Poor kid though.
