Do you have dessert after dinner? What kind?

We usually don't because the kids are stuffed, but evening snack is usually ice cream, pretzels, or popcorn.

I would like to go healthier.

  • sometimes we do but not all the time... mostly it would be like either ice cream or yogurt unless dh wants something different like popcorn or crackers.

  • Sometimes, but not every night. It can be peaches with whipped cream, brownies (that my MIL brought over 2 days ago), or last night we went to Krispy Kreme as a treat for their grand reopening - yay doughnuts! But by that time of night, we usually tend toward the healthier treats (angel food cake with strawberries, homemade apple crisp (I control the sugar), etc.) - I think the kids sleep better without quite so much sugar in their systems!

  • i love a bowl of fresh fruit or berries...or a little of each for dessert. it's so sweet, yummy, and healthy...way better than a bowl of ice cream

  • Very rarely. We'll usually finish off the meal with some fruit. Once in a while I'll make a cake, or a pan of bars, or something, and we'll have one, but I'd rather keep any not-so-good things like that for during the day, when they can run off the sugar, and have something healthy at night. Any snacks before bed are healthy - air-popped popcorn, fresh fruit, whole-grain crackers with cheese, things like that. I'd never let my kids have ice cream before bed.

  • We always have fresh fruit for dessert about an hour after dinner. Oranges and grapes, are my daughter's favorites.
