Why do restaurant tortilla chips...

taste SO much better than bagged store bought????? The so-called restaurant style in a bag never taste the same!

  • Some places make them fresh. A friend of mine learned how when he worked at chi-chi's a long time ago so he makes his own. You just cut tortilla's up, deep fry them, and add salt. Yum.

  • They get them from a different manufactuer or make them fresh everyday.
    I personally don't like the restaurant Tortilla chips. I prefer the packaged brand.

  • The ones here are always much thinner and crispier. Also, a warm freshly made chip is bound to taste better.

  • They are made fresh, they are thinner and they are deep fried. The ones I buy from the store are baked.
