should I cancel his dentist appointment?

My son has a dental appointment tomorrow for some cavities. Usually they ask you to cancel if they are sick (because they dont' want to get sick etc). My son has a uti that is not contagious, and has been ok, until the last few days he's been getting a fever towards the end of the day. He's almost done with his antibiotics and we did take him to se ethe doctor again yesterday. So, do you think we shold take him or cancel? Its tomorrow morning.

  • No he'll be fine...the fever is what's fighting the UTI. Just make sure he's drinking lots of fluids...
And if your in doubt call your dentist tomorrow or mention it when you get there.

  • I would take him since a UTI is not a contagious disease. However, let the doctor know that he is on antibiotics before they start, just in case.

  • lmao your joking right? its ok everyone asks a dumb question sometimes. inform them of the medications he is taking, but they mean contagious illnesses. colds, chicken pox, etc.

  • Keep the appointment, and tell the DDS your child is on medication.
