Can I anonymously call cps?

THis girl I know is selling herion outta her house, stole my id and drives around all day with her kid. The back of his head is flat because he is always on his back, she lets him sit in a poopy diaper ALL day.... I feel so bad for that kid!

  • yes you can technically. She won't know,but the office needs to know your name and such.

  • Yes you can. When you call just tell them that you don't want to leave your name at all but that you are a "concerned friend".

  • I'm pretty sure you can. Where I live, all CPS/child services calls are anonymous. They may want information from you, but the person being accused will never know who called (unless you've outright told her you're going to call CPS on her).

  • It may depend on where you live. I know here when we were doing our foster care training the social workers told us that they do not take anon calls. They are already overwhelmed and will not entertain anon calls to cut back on the cases where people are just being vindictive to an Ex or other family member.
