Would you give your twins rhyming or matching names?

Like for instance.. Hayden, Kayden, Jayden... that sort of thing or have their names rhyme or sound like that?

  • If I had twin girls ever I planned on naming them Gabrielle and Danielle. Never had two boys names that I liked that rhymed though.

So ya I am not opposed to it if I loved the two names.

May not end up doing so because Id have to discuss it with DH but I might try if those were the names I liked.

  • No. The kids will be compared enough as it is.

  • Personally I wouldn't but that's just me.
I'm not "against" it and don't think any less of anyone who does, it's just not something I would do. Even though they're twins they're still individuals.

  • No I would give them different names. My 2 great grandmothers had boy/girl twins and they named them 'matching' names-- Jean and Eugene (although he never went by his given name, he went by a nickname), and the others were Clara and Clarence.

  • I would thin it would be confusing to have kids with rhyming names. I would be more likely to use like sounds. Example: Liam and Louis or Chloe and Kaitlyn

  • I don't think I would, but in general I've never wanted to 'match up' the kids' names by having letters repeat or anything like that. I would probably use the names I liked best without trying to find some common theme that tied them together.

  • I would make them close. I used to want girls named Anna Claire And Emma Caite. Or boy /girl Nathan and Natalie.
