  • No, they are two different forms of Herpes. Oral herpes is the HSV-1, it's the most common herpes infection and is generally passed by family members by kissing, sharing toothbrushes or forks or similar activities.
    Genital herpes CAN be transmitted orally, but it's still genital herpes (aka HSV-2) and is the second most popular herpes viral infection in the US...

  • Sabrina explained it perfectly. Both types of Herpes can end up on different body parts depending on contact.
