I Dont Understand What Heartburn Is. Can Some one explain it to me?

I Have this bad sensation going around my stomach right now and I wonder if its heartburn....

  • take 75 miligrms of zantac, or cvs brand zantac (same thing nd it's cheaper). take that once in the morning and once at night. not harmful at all and it's a LIFESAVER

  • If it was heartburn you would feel it in your chest too. It feels like fire is coming up from your stomach to your throat.

  • It's when the acids from your stomach back up into your esophagus. Very common during pregnancy because your esophageal muscles relax. But what you're describing doesn't sound like heartburn.

  • it's when stomach acid is pushed out of your stomach and into your esophagus which is not made to handle stomach acid and it causes a burning or pain sensation in your chest. it's not actually your heart. if you're like me though when i hit my 3rd trimester my stomach is pushed up so high that the acid hits my throat and causes a burning sensation mych worse than heartburn. i have to take zantac 3 times a day or i'm in horrible pain from the acid

  • Its a ROYAL NIGHTMARE during pregnancy! lol
    If you're not feeling it in your throat and chest it probably isnt heartburn
    could be indigestion...

  • btw... I eat tums like candy, it has been getting worse.
    I switched to zantac and the heartburn is gone quick and stays gone for a looong time...
