  • It's also extremely difficult to prove that that is the reason someone else was hired over you. If there were 2 equally qualified candidates and one was 31 weeks and one wasn't pregnant I would hire the one who would still be there in 2-3 months.

  • Lol, I was actually hired when I was bit a farther along than that. They had actually saved me that position until after I delivered and felt good enough to work. But I didn't take the job sadly because I had a family emergency which caused me to move. They understood and I even sent a thank you note too!

  • i would probably try to find a candidate that would not be leaving the company so soon after hiring, but if they were the absolute hands down best then i would hire her.

  • I honestly would. I think it is sad as a woman we wouldn't support our fellow moms out there who may have gone through a rough time. Oh what because youw ould be out 6 weeks for a temp? That is crap. No wonder we have few things go our way with jobs when pregnant because the women don't make a big deal because they don't care either for their fellow pregnant woman.

  • I would because you don't know her situation...I was fired at 31 weeks because they didnt want to pay me for my maternity leave....

  • Maybe a work at home job---be a part of a customer call system, using your computer and your phone? Employers worry that a pregnant woman will have health issues or whatever. Don't know.
