How long does it take for sperm to reach the fallopian tube?

I got a positive OPK today, so I know I should be ovulating within the next 24 hours. DH and I had sex last night around 2am, and we are waiting for DD to go to bed so we can again. I'm scared that the sperm won't reach my fallopian tube in time to be waiting for the egg to release. Does anyone know how long it takes?

  • Sperm can live for days. Up to seven I've heard.

  • I don't kown if it is true, but I read in a book that it takes about 4 to 5 hours for the sperm to get there. ( as I said, I don't know if it is true), but try to google it. Good luck to you.

  • You need to ask your doctor hon,,we dont have answers that you need here. I have no idea. IF this goes into next month I promise you,,,that you will live! Get the facts from your doctor and go from there.

  • I plan on asking my doctor if we don't end up pregnant this month. I just thought someone might know or have an idea.
