  • A quick way to kill them is to spray them w/Lysol or generic Lysol. It kills them instantly. We have put small ant traps, the kind that they walk through then take back and kills them all, up on the counter and window sill where the kid and dogs can't get to them. It's worked so far.

  • Cinnamon. Sprinkle it around the cabinets and such. They don't like it and will be gone pretty darn quick. You can also put mint plants around or spray with a solution made from mint oil.

  • Cream of Wheat will get rid of them, very non-toxic, lol. It may take a while compared to other ways of doing things, but it will ultimately kill off the colony.

  • ecosmart makes a spray with cinnamon and clove oil. it works great. you may have to order it from their website. we bought one of their products from homedepot, and it did not work as well as the cinnamon spray.

  • Ant Kil.....little red and blue bottle in the pest control isle at the grocery store. Put a little drop on a piece of foil and all of the ant will swarm it then take it back to the nest and never come back.
