  • I think it depends on the person. I had my first at 17, and I have done a damned good job. I know women who had kids at a more "appropriate" age, but had major screw ups.

  • Most people would think I was too young. I had been with hubby for 3 yrs. Been married for over a yr. owned a house, but was only 21 when my son was born!

  • I was 21 when I had Kiwi, and married for almost 2 years when she was born. We've done okay. My mom was almost 38 when she had my sister ( I begged and begged my whole life for a sister, didn't get one until 6 months before I moved out), and she just seems so tired all the time, and says she feels awkward at her games and school things, people keep calling her grandma. She looks young for her age (47), but still feels old w/all the other "young" moms.
    When ever you feel good about it and can take care of it, then have it.
