how do you protect your nails from chipping (polish) or breaking when cleaning/doing dishes?

my nail polish chips when I have them painted and break when they are acrylics....when I do dishes, etc...

  • sally hansen just came out with a salon grade polish for about 7 bucks. It's awesome and guaranteed to last as long as a salon or spa finish. I would still use a top coat though. A good polish should last at least 5 days doing dishes or not.

  • Wear gloves. They make some very nice heavy duty rubber gloves nowadays. You can get them at Target.

  • Make someone else do the dishes!!!!! lol When you do your nails whether or not they have polish on them wipe each one with nail polish remover it helps dry up the natural oil in nails so the paint sticks better.
