Worried about my kids!!! HELP!!!

I am almost 37 weeks pregnant with my 4th child. My oldest is a girl, very well behaved may do the occasional tattling but thats all. Then I have 2 younger boys, that are VERY VERY wild. I am worried that they are going to be too loud and too rough once the baby comes. How do I make them settle down before this new baby gets here?

  • You need to do time outs and to lots of explaining when baby comes about using soft touchs and not being so loud.

  • Time outs and be firm. If they don't obey, take toys away from them.

  • hey, I'm almost 37 weeks with my fourth too... lol.. and the kids will learn.. it just takes a little time, don't leave your baby laying on the floor or couch or anything like that till they learn. but they will learn, explain to them that they could really hurt the baby bad if they get too crazy around him/her.

  • OP--- I have definately tried timeouts and taking toys away, it doesn't seem to work! I have one standing in timeout right now and he is playing. I told him his 6 minutes doesn't start until he is standing there quietly not playing! He don't care he just continues to talk and play.

  • stand there, and keep putting him back in time out. Put him how you want him. If he is talking put your hand on his mouth until he stops. My 3 year old does time outs, but didn't do them until I showed him how.
