I want to make sure I am not overfeeding my infant. She never seems to be full, she would eat the spoon and all if I let her lol.Answer Question
Breastmilk or formula needs to be a baby's main source of nutrition for the first year. If formula feeding a baby needs about 32 oz of formula a day.
I never spoonfed or used baby food. At six mo. I had just started solids and fork mashed banana and sweet potato and let my babies feed themselves. Babies should only eat a couple of tablespoons max at a meal. These are current recommendations and what La Leche League has been recommending for 30 years or more.
