Names to go with French last name....

I am not pregnant, just future planning. LOL The last name would be LeCompte. I thought I would like French names, but, they seem overly stuffy and frou-frou. So far nothing is sounding good to me...

  • How about a simple french name like Belle or Ami. I also like the french name Jolie. I don't think those sound too frou-frou.

  • Gabrielle or Jacques

  • Um...these are all good, but, I need something "different' than the norm. My DS is named Braden. Back in 1996, it was different, now, not so much. I forgot to add that i would like it to go with Braden Alexander.

  • Check out for awesome info on names, like meanings, related names (how do you say Peter in French? etc), name backgrounds, etc - it's more like a linguistic site than a baby name site, I love it!
Also, search any baby name site for French names, and comb through for ones that could be French or American - like Isabelle or Daniel.
