Anyone had headaches or allergy symptoms during pregnancy?

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and have been getting a lot of headaches and constant allergy symptoms; such as watery eyes, sneezing, stuffy nose and very mucousy in general... I never had these symptoms with my other pregnancies... anybody experienced these? any suggestions?

  • I had neither with my first pregnancy but this time around I have had lots of sinus issues what worked for the allergies was either a Neti Pot or Saline Spray a few times a day both are safe. With the headaches I just dealt with them they are most likely caused from pregnancy hormones and also having Allergies Hope you feel better and Congrats on your pregnancy. :) Also I would recommend signing up to they will tell you how high the pollen is in your area.

  • I did with my baby boy. I felt horrible and what was worst didt take any drugs.
For headaches: I would just pu a cold cloth or bandana in my forehead and just kept changing it everytime it got warm.
For th sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes:saline drops on my nose and for the watery eyes chamoline tea( warm no sugar)
This are things I did, hope no one laughs but it worked miracles on me...

  • I had allergies and headaches with my first two pregnancies. I was really sick with my third. I had allergy problems, pneumonia, and asthma. I was hospitalized several times. I had to be on many medications including steroids and 6 inhalers. My baby had to be induced at 36 weeks because it was at the point my life was in danger.

vania thanks for the suggestions I will have to try the cold cloth and drops... but I heard you're not supposed to drink chamomile tea while pregnant, which sucks because I love tea!

  • i have never heard of not drinking chamomile. i know there are certain herbs to avoid, but im pretty sure chamomile is fine. run it by your doctor at your next visit to be sure. i know drank i w my daughter. not a ton, but its not caffinated so it was my alternative.
