  • i have hardwood floors and thomas never had a problem with it. if it will make you feel better, they make knee pad things for this situation.

  • I have hardwoods and ceramic tile floors throughout my downstairs. They are a little cold, but my son never had an issue with it and when he was playing/sitting for long periods of time, it was usually on one of the rugs.

  • Babies have lots of fat under their skin, and their kneecaps aren't bone, they're cartilage. There's no need for kneepads, and if he's able to crawl, he's able to move to a warmer area. You have nothing to worry about.

  • It's fine. We've got hardwood floors and our baby has also crawled on grass and sand.

  • If you're worried, put down a blanket or get an area rung. They also make Baby Legs that are like legwarmers, or just have him wear long pants. If he doesn't cry or get upset about it being cold or too hard, you probably are worrying for nothing.

  • Sure. There is no harm in it. Even if it is a little cold.
