  • My first woke up every 2 hours from birth until about 11 months. My second slept about 6 hours each night until she was 5 months old and started teething. Don't let anyone tell you it's "normal" for a baby to sleep all night. It's frustrating to get up so often, butignore people who say the baby should "sleep thru the night". It's NOT ok to let a newborn CIO. Each baby is different, and they each reach the sleeping milestone when they are ready. Just like walking and talking, you can't make them do it before they are developmentally ready to.

  • My son is 3 months and he has a four hour sleep from 7pm and then wakes up two hours later. Then an hour later. Then he is up until it's nap time.
