does this sound like i am freaking out or "getting all worked up" in this question? lmao

his lip is swollen on the top left and i thought it was because we all have a cold, and he had chapped lips from breathing through his mouth. but i looked at it again and it has what looks like small blisters on it..... neither me or my husband have cold sores or herpes..... what is this? and where would it have come from?
