  • Kitchen in the corner...there is a perfectly sized 3 sides space next to my dishwasher under the stairs.

  • Bathroom. I don't like the idea of having it in my kitchen. I wouldn't poop in my kitchen, so why would I want my cat pooping in there?

  • We recently went through a rough patch trying to decide where to put the litter box before our 3rd baby arrived. We were using the spare bedroom as an office and had the litter box in there. We were going to convert the office into a bedroom for my oldest and move the baby into my oldest's old nursery. DH wanted to put the box in the kitchen, but I had a fit. Not only is that gross, but I'm very allergic to cats and his dander collects in the box and makes me sick.

We put the box in the garage. DH installed a pet door so the cat can get to it in the garage. He also built a waist high fence around the cat's own little special area in the garage so we don't have to worry about driving the cars in and out.
