When is the normal time during pregnancy to start lactating (leaking) ?

  • Any time. Some women start in their 2nd trimester, some start in the 3rd, and some don't until the baby comes. Every woman is different.

  • i started leaking colostrum in my fourth month. Everyone is different

  • I know alot of people that didn't leak. The only time I had any liquid come out is when I actually squeezed my nipples.

  • It is sooo vastly different between women. I never leaked during both my pregnancies. I could extract a drop or two my last month of pregnancy. I never produced any more than a few drops, so I didn't get to experience breastfeeding my children.
