What are some good Sleepover ideas?

For my oldest DD's birthday, we're having a sleepover. We're going to decorate cupcakes and paint fingernails. I'm not sure what else yet. I know - watch a movie and popcorn. But I wanted to do some things extra fun. Or creative.
Thanks in advance.

  • Murder

    Slips of Paper
    To Play
Label one piece of paper with the word “Murderer.”
Put slips of paper into a hat. The number of papers should be the same as the number of guests.
Have your guests each choose one slip of paper; they should not show it to anyone else.
Each slip of paper will be blank except of one that says "Murderer."
The guest who picks "Murderer" has to walk around the party and "kill" people by winking at them. As soon as one of the guests is winked at, he/she has to count to three and then fall on the floor.
If someone knows who the murderer is, they have to say, "Stop! I know who the Murderer is." If the accuser is wrong, then he/she is "dead" and out of the game. If the accuser is correct, then the game is over, and he/she is the winner.

  • Balloons, have the girls write down minor dares, and truths on small paper... fold them slip into the balloon before blowing them up. Then blow them up....

Have the girls take turns popping the balloon to get their dare/truth.

Sure to get the laughs rolling and cheeks red. : )

  • Oh yeah how old. forgot to ask.

    No-Mirror Make-Over
One of the best themes for a sleepover party for teenage girls is a Makeover theme. Host a beauty contest in which the contestants have to apply all of their make-up without a mirror. This is a game in which the most hideous contestant wins the prize. Make sure to take some nice blackmail photos of all the contestants!

    To Play
On the invitation tell the girls to bring their makeup...all of it!
    Have everyone set it out.
Then, set a five-minute timer. Everyone has five minutes to put her makeup on without a mirror.
The girl with the most hideous makeup on wins.

  • They are between 5-8 - LOL. Plus my youngest DD (who is 3 and probably won't play any of the games - unless it's makeovers).
    Those are some good ideas!

  • Something’s Glowing
Hide Several Glow in the dark items around the room or house.
Turn out the lights and set a timer…
The girls must find the items before the timer runs out.

THey usually have glow sticks at all a dollar.

  • How about getting some inexpensive beading kits and let them make their own jewelry?

    stuffy game

    Stuffed Animals

On the invitation ask your friends to bring a stuffed animal.
When everyone gets there put all of the stuffed animals in a pile.
Then one by one people are blindfolded and they have to find their stuffed animal without looking!
Whoever picks their stuffed animal wins.

Great for young girls : )

Piggly-Wiggly: Everyone lays out their sleeping bags. Choose someone to be "it." They must leave the room. Everyone else hides inside the sleeping bags (not their own). When they are ready, "it" comes back in. She sits on one of the sleeping bags and says, "Piggly-Wiggly" the person inside says "oink, oink." 'It' must guess who is inside the bag. If they are right, the person in the bag is it.

  • so here are some ideas:

1-ask around, some beauty salons offer spa parties for young girls to teenage girls. Normally the packages run from 12-20 dollars a girl... but include quite a bit. At the salon i worked at it was between 12-14 a girl(pending on the package) This included up-do and nails minimum, but could include up-do, pedicure, manicure, and make up, a party room, and a complementary pedicure or manicure for mom and a friend. (note: they have some great princess packages available in some salons)

2- have a princess party at home.. you can go to too for lots of affordable party packs, gifts to give out, or even games.

  • we have a sleep over with some friends and we got plastic potts and let them decorate the outside with sharpies, then planted bulbs in the potts to take home with them. they loved it.

little chesitry experiments are fun - target has a kits for making super bouncy balls

make-up is a cute idea but some kids do not like to have anything on their faces

pictionary is great if they like to draw
