Are you so anti-gun that this story would have a very different and grisly outcome?

One of many success stories because a good American citizen had the freedom to own a fire arm.The criminal will ALWAYS be able to obtain them.Turning good citizens into criminals is NOT a solution.
This story is from last year but news to me and likely you as well. This wasn't given real notice in the main stream media.

Be sure to read the comments section of the article. The supossid cousin of one of the perpetrators comments there.HE is what is wrong with our country NOT the right to own fire arms.

  • There are just as many stories of accidental shootings (mostly child on child) due to negligence. For every story of a good outcome there is another story of a gun tragedy to balance it.

  • The supossid cousin......SUPOSSID?
    It is "supposed"....
You need to go back to school.. learn to spell and ,more important ,learn that MIGHT DOES NOT MAKE RIGHT. In other words, in more simple terms that you might get....NO, owning a gun doesn't solve a thing. If you shoot someone, and the victim dies, you are still a murderer. If you don't care, then you need help.

It's the other was around.  Good outcomes get no press.  If you stop a robbery, the robbery doesn't happen.  If you stop a rape, there is nothing to report.  If you stop a murder, there is no murder.  The news only reports on the bad things that happened, not on the bad things that didn't happen.

I know numerous incidents where all the person had to do was show a gun and the criminals quickly left.

If these criminals had raped, robbed, and murdered everyone at the party and had gotten away, it would be all over the news nationwide.

You need to learn that if you're going to pick on a poster's spelling, you need to proof read your own post. :)

  • Self defense is not murder. Look it up. Murder has a definition. It has to do with intent. You have the right to defend yourself.

  • How could you live with yourself if you took another life, even in self-defense?

  • I see no spelling errors in the anon's post but the OP messed up.
Y'all are just in denial about the issue/. There are better ways to deal with life than having a gun and feeling "tough and macho".

Yeah, lock them up for life on the first offense. Allowing people to defend themselves as is their given constitutional right is cheaper and more efficient, though.
