would you go crazy if...

your husband worked 3pm to 3am sat and sun and 8pm to 7am monday-thurs?
My husband works these hours(2 difff jobs) and it is to get us ahead. It is very hard on him but it has to be done because we only have one car and we are os behind on everything. However, I have no car and I am going crazy. We live in a new town where I know NO ONE at all so I am stuck at home with my 2.5 year old son twiddling my thumbs starting at the tv all day. Its making me crazy. How would you deal with it ??? (the closest playgroup is an hour away and since I dont have a car...thats out)

  • My husband works Monday through Friday 7am to 6:30pm. He works in another town, so it's a bit of a drive to work. We only have one car and live out in nowhere. My car died when we moved to town so I really never met people around here. I just go to the dollar store when I can and load up on arts and crafts. Then during the summer we tend to a garden outside. Right now the summer reading program is going on, so we are reading a lot. My son just turned two. It's always interesting trying to find new things to do. I found a egg that you put in water and over a couple days it hatches. We spent some time setting up a birthing center for him and I peeled off the shell while my son watched then I showed him how to give the baby dino a bath and dry him off and everything. Then we feed him and made him a home. Lots of pretend play we do. We just try to do as much to keep busy as we can. Lots of websites out there with arts/craft ideas.

  • Can you walk or ride a bike anywhere? To the library or the pool?
