TAKING CHARGE OF YOUR FERTILITY by Toni Weschler. Ever notice how you sometimes have dry days and sometimes have wet days down there? Wet days are your body producing a fluid that makes your vagina a safe space for sperm; dry days kill sperm. Also, the book will teach you how to check your cervix. As ovulation approaches it gets soft, it opens up, because it's producing the fertile fluid its all wet, and it gets higher. Those are the indications that ovulation is on its way. There are many things that can cause a "false start" or a delay, such as stress, diet, or exercise. The only way to really know if you've ovulated is to take you're temperature every morning and to chart it. Before you ovulate you'll notice your temperatures are in a certain range, but after you ovulate your temperature will go up just a bit.
