  • It depends on the person.

I went down to breastfeeding just once a day, and i didn't get my period back. I quit breastfeeding and started a new BC pill, and I got my period within a week.

  • I quit breastfeeding when DD was 9 months old, and I got my period less than three weeks later.

  • It can be anywhere from a week to eight weeks. It just depends on your body.

  • I have friends who have gone as long as 19 months, while nursing, without a period, and gotten pregnant before ever having one. I don't know what kind of bad problems the doctor is worried about, but I find it hard to believe.
