What should I get, her moms not being any help???

So my niece turned 8 on the 14th, and her mom is doing the party this Thursday night. I have tried asking my sister what she needs or wants for her birthday, and haven't gotten an answer. Can a mom out there help me out?? What do 8 year old girls like???

  • Ask your sister if there is a day or even just an afternoon where you can treat your neice to lunch/dinner and take her to a store to pick out her own gift. I have a neice who turned 8 last March - she's big into Hannah Montana but I knew that everyone invited would probably get her something related to Hannah Montana so at the party I told my neice I'd take her out to lunch and we'd go shopping just the two of us. She loved it and asked if we could that for her birthday every year.

  • Are those zuu zuu pets still in? I know that's what my step sons got for their friends party this year and she turned 9. If not those silly bands are a great idea!

  • Wowm that greatly depends on if she's girly or a tom boy. I'd definately stick to something gender nuetral, so you're not offending her personality. Like a big art set. Or a yard game. Or something of that nature.

  • I would get her whatever I wanted I don't ever ask what someone needs or likes she's ur niece you should know what she likes but if not get her a walmart gift card or a toys r us gift card let her buy what she wants little kids like that especially when they get to choose. But being in ur postition I always buy my neice a pajama set or an outfit and a inexpensive toy. It's her birthday not christmas.
