wat do u put between layer cakes

i am making a 2 layer cake . igot wooden dowel s to put in it is that enogh or do i have to put something between the cakes 2 . and the following week im making a 3 layer cake . wat do u put in the middle i know they have them plastic disc looking things. put do they have something that the wood goes through

  • You mean like wedding cakes? If they are only 2 layers high, you will probably be safe with nothing between them. The 3 layer one should probably have little rods poked in it, and then each layer should be on a cardboard or plastic round to give it more support.

  • Do you mean 2 layers OR do you mean 2 tiers? A layer cake usually has between 2-4 layers. But if you are making a larger stacked cake, the different cakes are referred to as tiers.
