  • Only old wives tails. You will get. They do not work. I had two girls. Was not 100% chance to get a boy the 3rd time around. so I stopped at two girls and went and bought a male chihuahua.

  • Have sex. Take what you get and love it. There's a theory that XY sperm swim faster but have a short life span and that XX sperm live longer but swim slower. So, in theory, having sex on the day of ovulation is likely to produce a boy because the egg is right there and it's the male sperm that get to it first. Also, in theory, having sex a few days before ovulation is more likely to produce a girl because by time the egg is released the male sperm have died off leaving the female sperm to fertilize the egg.

It also depends on the guy. My DH thought he was incapable of producing boys because the radiation he was exposed to during the course of work tends to kill off XY sperm. Apparantly, that didn't happen.

  • Actually there IS something you can do. Good Lord it sure gets old seeing people with a lack of education on the subject answer questions.

You can try the Shuttle's Method. It's been found to be 80% effective.

It's not a sure thing but it can tip the scales in your favor. We've used this method sucessfully twice.

It does take a dedicated person because you have to be PERFECT with your charting.
