My son is turning 1 in a month.. still not crawling/walking!

I know every child is different, but he is still just rolling around and does the occasional floor humping. Are there any other moms out there who were worried? I guess I'm not really worried, just concerned. It's a little hard to see others his same age walking around and babies half his age crawling...

  • my 3yr old didn't walt till 18mths, they said she was a delayed walker, and when she did atart walking she walked on her tiptoes and still does till today. 1yr is ok to not be walking yet it's considered late by 15mths, but crawling seems delayed but some kids never crawl talk to the pediatricion

  • My oldest grandson was like that. Oh my goodness he could roll faster than we could walk! My oldest daughter started working with him. He wouldn't even sit up on his own but she held him up until he did then just started standing him up and holding him until he took a step

  • If you are concerned talk to your pedi. Alot of kids dont walk till 16 months or later. Thre average is 13 months. And for crawling, some never do. It isnt a developmental milestone anymore :) I wouldnt worry.

  • If you are concerned about your child's development you can always call early intervention. They will come to your house to do a (free) evaluation and get him any services he may need such as occupational or physical therapy.
