damiana? It's the 'legal' weed alternative turning up in gas stations under names like 'Swerve', 'Voodoo Spice' and many others. It's psychoactive effects are generally very mild.
In my state the law to ban this herb was passed on May 30 and goes into effect June 30. I think it's silly and reactionary. The plant is generally recognized as safe by the FDA (GRAS) and has a low side effect profile. It has several medicinal uses, including lowering blood sugar levels, treating insomnia and constipation, as well as an aphrodisiac, although at extremely high doses, convulsions and symptoms similar to strychnine poisoning were reported. (200g extract. The lowest effective dose of extract is about 1/10)
Any ladies have experiences with damiana or opinions on it's legal status?
