  • more info, how old is your child, boy or girl, where do you live? google "free stuff to do with kids" in your area, and see where it takes you. I know here we have a free zoo so thats always fun.

  • Museums usually ask only for donations and they're not required. They often have free or affordable classes, check with your local parks and rec, sometimes they have affordable programs. Look online at your chamber of commerce. Consider Vacation Bible school at a local church if that fits into your values. Make plans with some of your child's friends to get together.

  • How about a game? cards? yahtzee? rent a movie, make up a bunch of munchies, turn out the lights and just chill together.
Take a walk through a state park...go through cookbooks and find a new recipe to make together, light some candles at the table and have a nice dinner. get some baseball gloves and play catch or get a frisbee and go to the park. one on one basketball at the park..while at the park pack a picnic lunch after you have played frisbee and tossed a ball around then go play that one on one basketball

  • For a girl teenager, maybe go get some face mask from walmart (it's about 5 bucks), some cucumbers, and finger nail polish and have a "spa" night in. You could also rent a couple movies (redbox is $1 per movie) and get a frozen pizza for a night/day in. You could also try to find a park that has a disc golf course and buy a frisbee at a dollar store and play disc golf and maybe have a picnic. If you like fishing, or bike riding that would be something fun also.

  • My kids have been playing with Play-Doh, a digital camera, and windows movie maker making play-doh stop animation movies. They are having a grand time and its all stuff we had on hand already. I've even had fun with it.
