  • I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who isn't exactly okay with my dh having female friends. I trusted him until the trust was broke. Now it's me and only me and if he can't deal with that then he knows where the door is.

  • cause men have a history of cheating and some women may try to get there married friend to cheat. I think if a man has a female friend they should all hang out together,

  • Generally, if you like someone of the gender you are attracted to well enough to be friends with them, then there is the potential to like them as a whole lot more. Personally, I'm totally cool with my husband having female friends, but I would prefer they keep it in platonic settings. No bar hopping together, no hanging out alone at her place. I'm not totally okay with those behaviors with male friends either, though lol, I don't think it's okay to leave your wife out of your social life, at home taking care of your kids while you party it up.

Anyway, female friends are okay with most women I know as long as certain lines aren't crossed.

  • My husband has female friends and it doesn't bother me. He's also friends with my female friends and they all have exchanged numbers. I trust my husband. I really don't believe he would ever cheat on me. I could be wrong of course, but I would be really surprised if he did.
I imagine that's why some women don't want their husband's to have female friends, because they are afraid they might cheat?

  • I trust my husband. This doesn't mean I trust other women. There are women my hubby has been friends with for years that I prefer he only hang out with in a group setting and one that I have asked he not have any contact with whatsoever. And there is also one that works with him that I might just beat the crap out of if I ever see her again, but that has nothing to do with hubby or anything he's done. She's just a psychotic stalker.

  • Female friends do not ruin marriages, possessive spouses do. If you truly believed in the fact of mutual respect, and sexual exclusivity then you wouldn't have a problem.
Regardless of whether you trust the woman or not, you should be able to trust HIM to say NO.

  • I think whatever the couple agrees on is what needs to happen. I far one know that my husband would not want me alone with a male friend no more then I would want him alone with a female friend. It just works for was that he go together when ever we go out with the opposite sex friend.

  • theirs nothing wrong with it if it is platonic. I let my hubby have female friends- but if I don't like her she's out the door, and he respects that. I've only done that with one of his female friends though. not because they were "into" each other or anything, she was just such a bitch to me.
