How long does homemade chicken stock stay good in the fridge?

  • I worked with a dietitian who said that after three days she threw out anything. So this has been my guideline for most things.

  • If I make soup, I only keep it for 4-5 days in the fridge. You can freeze your stock though. I usually split it between large containers for soups and smaller ones to make sauces or cook rice. Just make sure to label and date them.
