If DH resignation letter said effective 6.18, does he go in today?

It means his resignation is effective on the 18th meaning the 17th (yesterday) was his last day, right?

  • Did he get paid yesterday? If so, that the EFFECTIVE date of resignation is the day that he is no longer employed by that company--that would be today.

Most companies or employees, when they state the effective as of date of resignation--do so, either after their last scheduled pay check, the end of the week or the last/first day of the month.

  • I'd go in and finish out the week.

  • Why don't he just call to make sure?

  • Today is Friday would it kill him to finish out the week? If his employer doesn't want him there they'll tell him when he shows up.
