Does Yugoslavia mean "white slaves"?

    Yugoslavia is not a Spanish country. It literally means "Land of the South Slavs" The South Slavs are a southern branch of the Slavic peoples that live mainly in the Balkans.

  • No - it means south Slavics. Slavics were people from a specific region, nothing to do with slavery.
