TTC A boy?

Are there really any tips to doing so? I have a girl but desperately want a boy! Just curious.

  • People will tell you there are ways to conceive a boy. But truthfully it is 50/50 chance of getting a boy or girl.

  • louise2 is right. you are going to get a bunch of people on here who will tell you to have sex certain ways, at certain times or to eat certain foods. NONE of these determine gender. Sperm do. It is 50/50.

  • well if you know when you ovualte and have sex the day before or the day of you should greater your chance of having a boy since they swim faster.....i personlly had sex every day or every other day and i have two boys

  • Male sperm does swim faster than female sperm, and female sperm lives longer than male sperm.
    So is "suggested" (but there's no guarentee) that you should have sex as close to ovulation as possible if you want a greater possibility of having a boy.
    You'll get A LOT of useful information fromt he book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility"

  • Deep penatration from the back and have your hubby drink coffee or cola , I read that the caffeine makes the sperm swim faster ! Iam trying for a boy as well ! Good luck !
