  • Yes it does bother me for a split second, then I tell them "When you have your own children, you will probably end up doing it my way or asking my advice. So let's not burn that bridge okay honey?" Hahaha! The blank stares are totally worth it!!

  • i used to laugh my ass off and tell them thanks but when you have kids you can do it your way - when you actually know what you're talking about.

  • Actually, no, my friends who have kids or who don't have kids have never tried to give me any advice. And I don't give them advice, either. It is best to not....

  • My MIL tells me how I should do things and it bugs me. She has never had any kids. She married my hubby's Dad a year after we were married. She thinks if I read these books it will better teach me on how to raise my kids.

  • My sister doesn't have any children but, she has been around me everyday since my children were babies she doles out advice sometimes. I think she is qualified although she has no kids.

  • I really don't like when people do that I've had it happen quite a few times but i usually blow them off because most of the time they don't know what there talking about. Its like you almost can't really relate to something until you go through it.

  • Yes. I had one very obnoxious one who I stopped being friends with. She was trying to give me daycare advice! Mostly it is my BIL who thinks he knows everything. He is going to have his first soon-- I cannot wait until he realizes every bit of advice has been so utterly unrealistic and wrong. It's going to be great!
