Travel tips, please.

Going on a day long car trip with a 1 year old. Tips?

  • Take lots of snacks and lots of car activites for him (?). Be Perpared to sing lots of silly songs and tell silly stories. If you're going to be in the car over two hours stop for a couples of minutes and let him (?) run around outside the car. It will help with the pent up energy! Best of luck!

  • leave at night so he's asleep when you go. At least she/he will be asleep for at least a while. :) I also agree with Solara.

  • snacks and a few pit stops to get out and stretch and be able to change baby, prepare sippies, etc.

    Some music they like also helps keep them calm.

    Typically however they will probably sleep most of the time. We went on vacation via car trip when DD was 9 months old, and she slept most of the trip
