i cut my baby's finger trimming her nails (not bad but it continues to bleed a bit). can i do anything for it? she is not bothered by it.

  • If you have pets you should have styptic powder. It causes it to clot. I have heard that cornstarch or flour will also work. This is one reason why I stuck to using a file for the first year. Their nails are so soft that this is a common occurance.

  • I've done this with all three of mine! It makes you feel terrible to cause pain to a baby! It will heel quickly though. Maybe a wet paper towel until it's done bleeding?
