What Holiday would you want to get rid of?

I'm for Christmas. Did you know that the month of December has the most cases of suicide.

  • I love Christmas. It's only superficial and greedy if you allow it to be. It can also be rich in history, meaning, love, and family.

I have always hated New Years Eve. Go out drinking and start the New Year with a hangover. What's up with that?

  • New Years,I don't see the point, and other cultures have the year start in different nonths and all. its just another excuse to drink.

  • New Years. I would also get rid of the way we celebrate Christmas. It's not about toys and presents. In fact, most of our holidays are celebrated wrong. Really, does an Easter bunny have anything to do with Jesus?

Now, I do enjoy July 4th, but that's the only one. I don't celebrate Thanksgiving either.

  • Christmas. Its becoming superficial and greedy.

Can we just get rid of birthdays? Or at least start counting backwards?

  • I wouldn't get rid of any holidays, in fact, we should probably incorporate more days that are geared toward spending quality family time together. I would just get rid of the notion that I have to send a card for each holiday! UGH! I hate sending cards and they are rediculously expensive. $5.00 for a card? C'mon.
