  • Cucumbers are 95% water, and have a hydrating, cooling effect on the skin thereby reducing puffiness. They also contain ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and caffeic acid, both of which help soothe skin irritations and reduce swelling. Cold, moist, tea bags do the same thing, with the tannins in the tea serving to reduce the puffiness of under eye circles.
