  • Yeah, the whipped cream is easy. Buy whipping cream (35%) and whip. I like to add a bit of vanilla and sugar to mine, and it will whip better if the bowl and beaters are chilled.

There are many, many different icing recipes you can google. A very basic one though is icing sugar, butter and milk. About 2 cups icing (confectioners) suger, 1 - 2 tbsp butter and 3 - 4 tbsp milk. Mix it all together, adding the milk a little at a time until you get a nice smooth consistency. You can add food colouring to it or replace some of the icing sugar with cocoa to make it chocolate. Just a warning though, if you want a vibrant colour, use paste food colouring rather than the liquid drops.

  • Whipped cream is easy.......put cream into a cold bowl. Beat with electric beater until thick and it makes peaks when you turn off beaters and take them out of the cream. Do not beat much longer than that or you will have butter!. I like the plain cream, but you can add a couple of teaspoons of sugar as you beat it if you want. What kind of icing do you mean? With cream or confectoner's sugar? You can get tons of recipes for it if you Google it. Good luck!

  • Whipped cream - buy heavy whipping cream - comes in half-pints, pints, and quarts, typically, and also typically in the cardboard cartons. It's not cheap. Put a metal, glass, or ceramic bowl and your beaters in the fridge for 10 minutes or more - make sure they are cleaner than clean, if they have the least little bit of grease or anything on them your cream won't whip. You can also use a whisk but it takes longer ;). Pour the cold cream into the cold bowl and beat - it takes a while! Once it starts forming peaks stop - any farther and you'll start making butter.

Icing - visit the cake 101 group or look it up - there are scads of recipes, and different kinds work for different things.
