  • Whenever they WILL do it! **grin** Watch baby's cues. He knows how much sleep he really needs.

  • Whatever works for the baby. Follow the baby's cues.

  • Every baby is different. But I think around that time both my babies napped twice a day. About 2 or 3 hours after being awake it was time for a nap. The both napped twice a day at that age. A late morning nap and an afternoon nap. Obviously, they were not eating meals with the family all the time then. Sleeping was more important than working on their solids. I always adjusted their bottles and meals around their sleep schedule.

  • My 7 month old has just been sleeping on demand. I thought about trying to schedule her, 'cause I had a lot going on, but it's really best to follow baby's lead on that one. She does take one nap in the morning & one in the afternoon most often. Some days she only takes one nap, some days none. Those days she will usually fall asleep early. Their sleep schedule change so often, ya gotta be flexible.

  • My six month old wakes up at 9:00. We go downstairs, change her, and give her a bottle. Then she plays until lunch time. Nap time at 12-1:00. Then she plays until dinner time. Then she goes to bed at around 9-10:00 depending on how fussy she is that day. She usually wakes up at 3-4am, but goes right back to bed after a bottle.

  • I let dd make her own schedule. She's 6 mos. usually she wakes up between 6-8 eats a bottle and falls right back asleep, will sleep until 10-11. She takes about a 30 min nap around 12:30 then a big 1-2hr nap at 3ish and 2 or 3 small 20-30 naps throughout the rest of the day before bed.
