Does your baby??

Like to sleep with their face smashed into something? When I put dd (6mos) to sleep at night she always puts her face in the little crack between my boob and my arm and nuzzles in. I hate it, it makes me so nervous. And when she sleeps she sleeps on her tummy with her face flat in the bed. I try to move her head and she goes right back. I roll her over and she goes right back to her belly.

  • my 2 year old sucks her thumb and her blanky has to touch her face when she does so. but not covering it. my 3.5 month old sleeps with her hands over her face (its pretty funny) and usually has her face tucked up against something too. i just move the blankets away. maybe try the side sleeper for your daughter so she cant roll over in her sleep

  • My daughter does this. She finds a little spot to breathe, so I'm not worried. She's done this since she was born - baby will turn her head if she can't breathe.

  • I totally understand I would constantly try to put his & her head "the right way", but they would ALWAYS put them right back where they liked. They wer always o.k. I know it drove me nuts !ld just sit there & listen to make sure that one was breathing & still stand there even after I could hear the breathing, I got very nervous about it time & time again. They seem to know what they a sleeping like.I guess I just wanted you to know your not alone, but they do seem to always be o.k. in all of my situations with them.~

  • Yep. My son sleeps with his face against the mattress and butt in the air :) He has since he could roll over around 3.5 months :)

  • 1. If she can roll over onto her stomach by herself, then she's fine to sleep on her belly.

    2. Apparently babies are more comfortable squished into whatever. She probably thinks that particular area is warm or smells nice.
